Group Conscience Minutes: 4/3/2012

• Meeting opened with the Serenity Prayer

• February Minutes approved.
• March Minutes approved.

Reports:

• Dave (GSR):
  - Attended D24 meeting. Ted introduced as Alt-GSR.
  - Grapevine? - would groups be willing to sponsor subscriptions for those in need (NB item).
  - Issue: GSO Specials ~ $27K went to GSO from Area when that Area$$$ could stay here.  Do we have an opinion? (NB Item)
  - Jun-10 Founders Day Picnic
  - Apr-22 Workshop at Triangle Club on Tradition 11
  - Area 10 Assembly:  Do we want D24 to bid for Intl Convention in 2025 (NB Item)?  Make permanent the Translation Committee (adhoc to-date) (NB item)?
• Ari (Coffee): We have creamer now.
• Don (IG): Last IG meeting - discussed IG inventory from 2010.  Need feedback by last Mon in April (NB Item)
• Mark (Lit): 3 formats of the BB + 2 formats of 12x12 and sponsorship packets in our stock.  Thinking of starting a lending library (NB Item).
• Ken (Treasurer): We are in good shape.
  
• Larry (GSC): Doing well with Central Office coverage. Covered thru May.
• Craig (PI): Did not make last PI meeting. Still working on "Carry the Message" stuff.
• Ted (Alt-GSR): Nothing to report.
• Michael (Phone List): Get new master done. Email to DonS (AI).
• Ben (Secretary/Web-site): Feb/Mar minutes posted. 

Old Business:

• RR Picnic: Add Announcement DonS (AI).  Need to pick picnic coordinator.
• Assigning chairperson item from last month.  Encourage others to chair.
  - Discussion: Larry - preparing to chair, creates involvement.
  - Mark: Davidson Mesa picks 1wk ahead of time.
  - Don: sometimes need to chair, show up early.
  - Larry: Expand on the requirements to chair.
  - Ted: show up early to chair, sponsors encourage us to chair, hesitant to change this.
  - Craig: sit at the head of the table if you need to chair
  - Larry: withdrawls motion
• We had one group inventory item left: Get better plugged into the community. We discussed and tabled this prior.  Will pickup at the next meeting.

New Business:

• IG group inventory feedback - do another one and deeper.
• Dave: table all Area NB items.
• GSO $27K thing - redefine where the $$$ go
• Sponsor Subscriptions to the Grapevine
• Do we need a new meeting place? Church down the street is available.

Open Service Positions:

• No one to stand for open positions.
